Once again the king is back. hahahaha. I've had many problems in my life. Now I'm supposed to choose one out of the ga-zillions that I've faced. This...is going to get pretty wild. So fasten your seat belts or be prepared to get blown off by my breath >:D
OK. This problem happened like this:
It was a day before my all comers track and field competition. I was very, very nervous as it was only my 3rd competition that I've ever taken part in. I was going to take the long jump event the next day but i had lots of butterflies(maybe moths) in my stomach.I contacted my senior and discussed with him how he was going to make his way there(the stadium). At the end of the discussion,it was agreed that he would meet up with me in the morning so that we could go to the destination together.
OK, that was settled. Then i told him about how nervous i was and i was grateful to him for giving me a load of advice. IT was really really helpful.
In case you were wondering what he told me, here it is(maybe you could pick up a tip or two from it):
Believe in yourself
Don't worry too much about it
Do your best
Have confidence
Have a good time
After hearing what he said i really heaved a huge sigh of relief. I was more confident and looked forward to the event. Well the next day came and after warming up, we proceeded to the long jump pit. Everyone had 3 jumps and for those who jumped below 5m or foul-jumped, the distances would not be taken. Only the top 8 would have an extra 3 jumps to determine who the winner was.
Fortunately, I made it to the top eight:D But i ended up around the 7th place though. I was pretty disappointed with myself, but i told myself that hey! At least I reached a new personal best (PB) of 5.14metres :)
This is an experience of a problem and how I encountered it. I am proud of myself and hope to do better in the future. --
I love the quicksand.
